OpenGov - Financial Transparency for the City of Napa
OpenGov is here!
We are excited to announce that the City of Napa has officially launched OpenGov! Our residents, community partners and others now have one place to go to view budgets and actuals, as well as historical financial data. This new platform will allow us to collaborate more effectively, make smarter, data-driven decisions and achieve greater transparency to our community. It is an intuitive, easy to use interface that presents financial information graphically as well as numerically.
A bit about the City of Napa budget:
The budget and finances for The City of Napa are managed using a multi-fund accounting system. The General Fund is the City’s primary fund and records all assets and liabilities that are not assigned to a special purpose fund. It provides the resources necessary to sustain the day to day activities of the City including all administrative and operating expenses. The opening chart in OpenGov shows General Fund Revenue and Expenditures for Fiscal Years 2011 – 2018. Use the Filter and View tabs to see information for other funds or by Department.
The Construction Division oversees and inspects the construction of capital improvement projects, encroachment permits and development projects throughout the City of Napa. The Division also issues encroachment permits, transportation permits and administers the Sidewalk Repair program.
