A Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the “Napa Oaks II” development project was released last week for public review. Napa Oaks II proposes to subdivide an 80.63 acre hillside property off Old Sonoma Road into 53 single-family lots and four open space lots. The number of lots proposed in the Napa Oaks II project has been reduced from a previous version of the project that was rejected by the City in 2002 containing 63 homes. The DEIR evaluates the potential environmental impacts of the project, including: aesthetics, agricultural resources, biological resources, geology, hydrology and water quality, public services and traffic. The public will have 45 days to review and comment on the DEIR. Following the 45-day public review period, a Final EIR will be prepared with responses to all comments received during the public review period. A copy of DEIR can be viewed/downloaded from the Planning Division's website.
