A delegation representing the City of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia is visiting Napa this week, marking the twentieth anniversary of the Napa-Launceston Sister City relationship.
Upcoming events and activities planned for the visiting group include:
- Thursday May 1: A tour of the City on foot and by trolley, and a tour of Napa Valley College
- Friday May 2: Lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train hosted by CEO Greg McManus, and a visit to COPIA.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District will conduct a series of public meetings to inform residents and affected business owners about the proposed Regulation 6, Rule 3: Wood-Burning Devices (Reg. 6-3). Residents are encouraged to attend the one of the meetings this week to learn more about the rule, discuss how it would be implemented and how it might actually affect individuals.
A contractor working for the City of Napa is now completing the replacement of the First Street Bridge over the Napa River just west of Silverado Trail. Work began in June 2008 and the street was reopened on August 1, 2009.

The City of Napa is conducting a sealed bid sale of buildings located at 429 First Street, Napa. The parties submitting the highest qualified cash bid price will be required to relocate the house and related accessory structure(s) to another site.
